I spend a lot of time at Academy of Performing Arts in Downtown Tracy. The girls have been there since 2008 and to see them develop into amazing dancers with amazing foundational skills makes me hopeful that this will help them become disciplined adults that can manage to stay off of updating their status every hour on Facebook. Wait, huh?

These were taken way back in 2010. If you’ve been following my blog since then these have already been posted. But I lost my old blog and still want these to live somewhere on the internet and not just my hard drive.

Dubai in 2012 | Personal

If you would have told me last year that my family and I would be headed to Dubai for Spring Break 2012, I’d be all, pssssh, yeah, right, whatever.

But the Gregory family is headed to Dubai in 2012 and it is gonna be off the hook crazy!

Why Dubai? Well, my Dad has spent the last 20 or so years living in the UAE and we have never visited him while he works difference corporate contracts. So, he asked if we’d be able to visit in Spring, I shrugged our shoulders and said, ‘Dubai? Sure, why not?”

Memories for a lifetime are going to be had FOR SURE .

OK, I have to confess that my absolute favorite jewlery line is called Stella & Dot. It is an affordable luxury that every woman should indulge in. I am a Stella & Dot stylist because everything is irresistable. I mean, all you have to do is wear the jewelry, and tell people where to get it when they say, ‘oh mah gawsh, those earrings are to die for’. Super easy.

Yup, these two, the ones that write tickets for having big butts and laugh hysterically about it, are straight sistas for life (for obvious reasons).

I love shooting kids. Especially when they know that getting their picture taken is a big ol’ party and I’m here to do a little song and dance.

So, yeah. In this house, we like to keep things a little crazy. And I am posting this shot of a note that was written a while ago. By Olivia. And she wrote it when I was in the dentist office paying our bill. And it was left on the console of the car. Where I could find it. But I remember there was a lot of commotion going on from my view in the dentist office of the girl’s in the car. And when I got into the car. There was a lot of attempts to stiffle laughter. And then I saw the note. And I read it. And I smiled. And then I laughed. Then I snapped a picture and posted it on Facebook. But I was so confused. Because in the middle of the note, Olivia wrote “To: Ella, From: Oli.” But I knew it wasn’t meant for Ella. I knew it was meant for me. And I’m not the kind of person to get mad at silly stuff like that. But I guess Oli decided she didn’t want to hurt my feelings. But either way. This note is going in her memory box. And hopefully she’ll remember this, and laugh and remember that she wrote it to me. And we will laugh. Because that’s we do in this house.

I mentioned Faith in the post below. If you follow me on Facebook you would have seen all the tags in awesome posts from some amazing women all last weekend. She is one bad Mama-Jama. Except she wasn’t Faith in these photos. She was Coffy. I was just trying to steer clear of her because I knew that if she happened to pass a gangsta or mobster that I might get caught in the middle.

This was a collaborative shoot with Helen Owens, who also did the hair. Her amazing assistant & stylist, Jo Owens, and a very talented make-up artist, Crystal Criscione. Thanks to Shereen Rebar for having an amazing space to do this in! Lot’s more to come in the next few days. I am stretching out this super long shoot for the week!

Ah, Nutcracker season. This typically means absolute madness for me but the last evening show of that weekend always means fun and relief.

Here is a snippet of our wonderful production directed and choreographed by some of the best women in Tracy. CA. These little faces dance with such joy in their hearts. It makes every year super fun to watch! Maybe we’ll see you in the audience next year!
