Shelly & Jason | Engagements

I had the great pleasure of being introduced to Shelly and Jason by my ‘mama’ friend Hanna. Shelly and Hanna have been friends “FOREVER” although forever begins with freshman year of college.

Shelly and Jason live and work in Downtown Sacramento. Sometimes I forget that Sacramento is a bustling metropolis, so when Shelly and Jason started telling me about their lives together I kind of thought, “How grown up.” Jason started out as the guy on the fifth floor in the building where Shelly works. In Downtown Sacramento. For the California Museum. They would share the same elevator sometimes and eventually caught each other’s eye. That lead to a date, then more dates, then a trip to Europe and a proposal in Belgium. Yup, Belgium. Where Jason kept the ring hidden in his carry-on baggage.

Romantic and memorable. And when you look at these too you can’t help but smile. Because Shelly just has this sweet personality that you are drawn to upon your first meeting. And when you see Jason looking at her with adoration in his eyes. You smile. Heck, I’m smiling just remembering the short time I spent with them.

Enjoy a few images from their engagement session.

Shelly and Jason, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to work with you and give me something to smile about!
