Last week you read a little about my WPPI 2010 experience. It would not have been complete without signing up for at least one shoot! And I am so THANKFUL that I decided that being a nerd in platform classes was not all that it was cut out to be.
So, imagine if you will, getting on a bus outside of the MGM, heading out of sin city and towards the desert. The cold, cold, cold desert. The bus turns off of the highway, and we start heading down a dusty road. And me, being the one with the crazy imagination, saw the headlines for local papers, “bus full of photographers gone missing.”
OK, but really, the bus turns down this old dusty road and we just keep on driving. Then in the distance I see a few SUVs, a rental trailer, and a few people running around and my heart skips a beat.
Victor Sizemore offered a mentor session to the first 50 people to sign up. I have heard wonderful things about Victor Sizemore from Caitlin Cathey and after stalking his blog I knew this styled shoot would be nothing short of amazing.
There were three “stations” each with a different scene styled by the lovely Summer Watkins of Grey Like’s Weddings. The models included one of Victor’s beautiful daughters, a gorgeous, recently engaged couple and the ever beautiful (is that even proper English) Anna. Here’s just a few images with more to come mid-week!
