Oh em geee. These shoes…I bought them back in 2006. Leopard print anything was showing up in fashion magazines all over the place in a major way. After giving birth to two lovely kids (the first weighing in at 9 lbs and some odd ounces and the second weighing in at 10 lbs and some more odd ounces) my feet had grown astronomically.
So, I was left with no choice but to shop on-line for shoes. Thank the LAWD zappos.com was just booming in a big because I could search for shoes by size and take all the disappointment out of seeing something I wanted and not being able to have it. And to my surprise I did a search for my size and voila! LEOPARD PRINT FLATS!
These are most favoritist flats in the WHOLE WORLD. But they are wearing thin on the soles. The hair like material on the shoes is starting to bald. I have this crazy attachment to these shoes. Sometimes (because of my crazy weight gain after my second child) the only thing I could wear to make me feel sassy was these shoes.
Girls night out? Wearing my leopard flats.
Date night with hubby? Wearing my leopard flats.
Meeting someone for the first time? Wearing my leopard flats.
They were my go to shoes.
But now?
I refuse to thrown them out. Just can’t do it. They still bring a wee bit of sass to my life. Some silly old shoes. These shoes.
