I’ve noticed as venturing into this new photography business of mine, that people are shady, no, people are straight shady when it comes to sharing resources, ideas, tips, etc.
And I guess in a way you have to be. As I’ve discovered, photography is a competitive market and sometimes you feel the need to hoard the things that you discover. But really who is benefiting? As a photographer, people come to you because of your style. They come to you because of the images they see on your blog or website. There are a lot of photographers who have similar styles as your own and that’s when people start coming to you because of who you are, a prior relationship you have with them or a good word they got from someone else.
Anyhow, I am sharing with anyone who needs a logo, a friend of mine named Jeanine Linder. Jeanine, is an awesome photographer who does work overseas. She also designs logos. A few months ago I sent her an e-mail and said, I love the color orange, I like organic circles and I like serif fonts. She e-mailed me back in a couple of hours and asked, “How’s this?”
And that was it. That’s what I wanted on the first try!
Anyhow, if you’re in the market for a new logo for your photoraphy business, your etsy shop, for your own personal use. Then check out her blog and e-mail her. It doesn’t cost a fortune (thank the lawd) and I am sure you’ll be pleased.
Sharing the love, done.
